We care for infants, children and adolescents from birth through 21 years of age.

Perkins Pediatrics first opened it's doors in August 1997 in Greenville, Mississippi. The original clinic consisted of Dr. Perkins, his nurse (Sonja Swain) and his receptionist (Lillian Vineyard).
The DeRidder clinic (aka The Perkins Pediatric Clinic, LLC) opened June 2001 with help from Beauregard Memorial Hospital. It consisted of Dr. Perkins, his nurse (EB Johnson), his office manager (Sabrina Smith), Office Assistant (Cassandra) and the front office worker/receptionist (Tisha Sharp).
Our current staff is myself (Michael W Perkins, MD), Office manager/Billing Specialist (Jeannie Alston), Nursing Assistants (Rachel Dubos and Brittany Ortegas) and Receptionist (Dena Carlin).

Since arriving in DeRidder, the clinic has progressively outgrown each location until the Pine Street location where we plan on staying. We offer many services such as health checkups, sick visits, ADD/ADHD evaluations/treatment, autism screenings/referrals, Head Start evaluations, sports physicals, suture/staple removals, school/travel immunizations, WIC evaluations, etc. Should your child ever need admitted to a hospital for treatment, doc has privileges at nearby BHS. He also will see your newborn when you add to your family.

Michael W. Perkins, MD currently holds active licenses in Louisiana and Mississippi. He is a Pediatric Board eligible physician who specializes in pediatrics, a medical specialty of children's problems, growth and development.
